Are you looking after someone who needs your help? If so, you are a carer...
Stour Surgery Carers Group was started a few years ago by the District Nurses to help meet the needs of carers whose needs for support and information were not always recognised. Carers may be people who are looking after a relative or friend on a regular basis and whose life may be restricted in some way because of their caring responsibilities. The aim of the group is to help support carers with information and advice and give them the opportunity to meet others in a similar situation.
The group meets in the surgery every first Wednesday of the month between 2.00 and 4.00pm with the opportunity to meet other carers over a cup of tea and listen to a variety of speakers.
We welcome new members - for more details contact Jane Weir, Practice Sister.
