Contact Us

The Stour Surgery Patents’ Circle is an organisation that has been running since 1996. The Circle provides a vital forum for maintaining additional links between the Surgery - doctors, nurses, administration and patients. All patients registered with Stour Surgery are members of the Patients’ Circle.

Its objectives are:

  1. To give patients a collective voice in their relationship with the Surgery. For example a patient might find it easier to express an opinion to another patient than she/he would to a member of the Surgery staff.
  2. To encourage patients to take an increased interest in the running and welfare of the Surgery.
  3. To carry out fund raising activities with a view to help in providing medical equipment over and above that provided by the National Health Service.
  4. To publish a newsletter, Stour News, issued quarterly.
  5. To carry out patient surveys so as to obtain the comments and suggestions of patients
  6. Under the guidance of medical staff, to advance patient education in health care by means of lectures, forums and self help groups

The Patients’ Circle Committee meets quarterly in order to review progress and to plan ahead.

New Members are always welcome!

All registered patients are welcome to join the Patient Circle Committee although, in the interests of effective decision making, membership of the core is limited. We have therefore established a Virtual Patient Group so that we can ensure a wider involvement of our patients on a regular basis to continually improve the care and services we offer. Specialist sub-groups may also be formed to deal with specific topics utilising individual skills and interests. If you are interested, please click on the 'Sign-up Form' above.

We are always keen to hear the views of any patients who wish to comment on any aspect of the surgery services or activities. Please click on the 'Contact Us' tab above and let has have your views.
