Warm Welcome

Welcome to this season’s newsletter! As we step into spring, we’re excited to share some important updates with you.

Firstly, we’re delighted to welcome Julie Symes, our new Office Manager, who will be supporting the smooth running of the practice.

We also have a new SCOT Outreach nurse joining our SCOT  team, further strengthening the support available to our patients.

Thinking About Quitting Smoking? We Can Help!

Stopping smoking isn’t easy, but you don’t have to do it alone.

Stop Smoking Dorset is a free service offering expert advice, personalised support, and stopsmoking aids like nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) and vapes.

Support is available by phone or video call, making it flexible and easy to access.

Visit here to get started today!

Do more with the NHS App!

Please note that we do not accept medication requests over the phone. To ensure a safe and efficient process, we encourage you to use the NHS App to order your prescriptions quickly and securely.

Paper requests and pharmacy requests are still accepted, but using the NHS App is the quickest and most convenient way to manage your medication.

Requesting a Sick Note

If you need a new sick note or an extension, please complete an eConsult form on our website. This allows our clinicians to process your request quickly and issue the appropriate documentation.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Respect for Our Staff

We have unfortunately seen an increase in abusive behaviour towards our dedicated staff. Please remember that our team is here to help and support you. Treating one another with kindness and respect helps us create a positive environment where we can provide the best possible care.

We appreciate your cooperation in fostering a safe and supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff. Thank you for your understanding

Vaccination Reminder – Stay Protected!

We have a COVID-19 booster clinic coming soon for eligible patients, including those aged 75 and over, residents in care homes, and individuals with weakened immune systems. If you're eligible, we’ll be in touch to book your appointment.

Travelling abroad?

Some destinations require vaccinations, so make sure you’re prepared! Fill out our online travel assessment form, and a nurse will review your plans and advise on any recommended vaccines.

Support Our Local Food Bank!

We invite you to make a difference by supporting Christchurch Food Bank+. This organisation goes beyond just meeting emergency food needs—they are dedicated to nurturing the overall well-being of individuals.

You can contribute by donating items in the designated collection box located in our reception area. All donations will be delivered to the St Joseph’s Church project in Purewell to support those in need.

Your support truly makes a meaningful impact in the lives of those they serve. Thank you for your generosity!
